Do you work in a sector in the midst of a sector undergoing ‘once in a generation’ adaptive change?
Are you looking for ways of exercising leadership that respond to what really matters?
Exercising leadership in a sector undergoing transformational change can be both invigorating and challenging. The opportunities are immense – to create truly client-centric service models, to reinvent old ways of doing things – but the risks are high. And work avoidance is ever-present, whether it be in the form of endless meetings that make no progress or competition between different parts of the system.
The sector-specific Community of Practice is an opportunity to gather with people in your sector to reflect on what leadership is being called for in your sector, and to support and challenge one another in exercising leadership.
The process and content is co-designed by an ALA Director and someone working in the sector, with a focus on reflection, peer learning and peer support.
We anticipate that each Community of Practice will meet 2-3 times over the year, with the potential for additional gatherings.
